College students pursuing a career in agriculture, business
or engineering with a particular emphasis on irrigation technology, pumps and
fluid dynamics may be eligible for one of 18 scholarships awarded annually by
Rain for Rent in the amount of $1,000 each.
Application deadline is typically June 30th and
interested students should contact Sandra Crowley at (661) 399-9124
- ext. 257. Students applying for the scholarships must have completed
their freshman year and currently be enrolled in their sophomore year
at an approved college or university.
Applications may also be obtained from and submitted through the
following: Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo - School of Agriculture, Agricultural
Engineering and Multi Cultural Departments; Cal Poly, Pomona; California State
Universities

of Charles P. Lake, the company's founder. It is a nationwide company with 45
branches in 24 states. The company specializes in helping agriculture, oilfield
and other industrial businesses solve temporary liquid and solids-handling
problems. Based in Bakersfield, California, Rain for Rent has more than 65
years of experience.
