Children of wine grape vineyard workers looking to pursue a
college education will be able to seek financial aid again this year, thanks to
scholarships being offered by the California Wine Grape Growers Foundation
(CWGGF). The Board of Directors for CWGGF, which represents wine grape growers
statewide, are offering one $4,000 four-year scholarships and four $1,000
two-year scholarships for the children of vineyard workers employed by

The scholarships were established in 1998 by the California
Association of Winegrape Growers (CAWG).
"The purpose of the CWGGF scholarship program is to provide

pursue a higher education," said Foundation chair Kim Ledbetter-Bronson.
"We feel it is important to support our employees who do so much for our
